🎅Austrian Nikolauskränzchen in Roma Street Park

In the spirit of Advent this Christmas season we are excited to join the Austrian community for a very special event – Nikolauskraenzchen. In Austria, we celebrate 👹Krampus and 🎅Nikolaus on 5th and 6th of December respectively.

While Krampus is quite a scary creature that punishes naughty kids (and adults) with a chain or cane stick, St Nikolaus praises kids for accomplishments and things well done. Young kids would usually learn a brief verse or rhyme to present to St Nikolaus and impress him with good manners … with the aim to earn sweets, mandarins and apple and other goodies in a little gift bag 😉 There you go – Tobi got his very first Nikolo Bag, lovingly prepared for all the little munchkins by mama Andrea, thank you🙏

We enjoy a very merry picnic in the beautifully tropical Roma Street Park, complete with traditional Austrian Christmas snacks, cookies, making music and singing seasonal folklore songs.

THANK YOU for such a fun get2gether, it was wonderful to meet you all!
